January 2008: New Semester:We hope everyone had a nice break and their exams went well, and fencing is beginning again in earnest. This term there will be more time in Cromer Terrace Gym for the Saturday sessions, so check out the schedule here. We are also holding a Give-It-A-Go session on the 12th of February, so there will be no training that night. The Sports Ball is also coming up on Saturday 23rd of February, which is always a good night. More details to come! Apart from that, it is back to business as usual, and we look forward to a fun-filled fencing semester! September 2007: To start with, welcome everybody to the new and improved webpage for the Leeds University Fencing Club – looking very smart, I must say! This year's new committee really brings together a new club – a new website, a load of new kit, a change in venue, top quality coaches and bigger and better parties. New Kit – the generous Lottery grant now allows us to have six full electric pistes with spares, as well as completely new beginner's kit for 30+ members, spare advanced electric kit and brand new storage facilities. Training – starts straight away with Advanced in Cromer Terrace on Saturday 22nd of September and beginner taster sessions on Tuesday 25th September onwards. Membership fees – this year we present two packages: £25 only for Beginners (all equipment provided Tuesdays only) and £40 only for Advanced (covers all training sessions and includes all lessons with coaches, especially the international coach Robert Kiss) |
