Welcome! You are about to step into one of the most exciting and fun-filled clubs at the University of Leeds and also one of the most successful fencing clubs in the country – it's a fact!

So if you're a total beginner, just interested, or a previous fencer come on in and have an explore.

Our club caters for all and the joy of being a university club is that it's dirt cheap to join. Your first two taster sessions are totally FREE so just turn up with your mates – it's not often you get a chance to have a stab at your friends!

At the Leeds University Fencing Club we pride ourselves as being one of the most social clubs at the University. Believe it or not, fencers are huge drinkers and our legendary socials are way up there with all the other major sporting clubs. We have some huge parties throughout the year as well as weekly socials, which are on no small scale. By joining the club you are guaranteed to make some quality friends – everyone who joins always does!

Results wise, we have unbeatable men's and women's 1st teams. We have been the champions of the Northern 1st Division for the last two years, and are holders of the Christie Cup title. We have a large number of elite fencers who have and continue to represent the country on a national and international level.

Our club is strengthened by top sports facilities which are unlike no other provided by the University – a complete range of brand new, modern fencing equipment and coaching by some of the best in the country.
